CRICUT: DIY Halloween Confetti, Toppers, & Pennants

diy-cricut-halloween-party-decor-ideas

Halloween is almost here –  only a week away! As those parties are also approaching quickly, I created some FREE & easy last minute DIY Cricut creations using my Cricut Explore Air. I hand drew 4 different confetti designs, and created a couple of cupcake toppers. Also included is a free Hocus Pocus themed print to compliment your shindig. You’ll recognize “Dead Man’s Toe” if you’re a fan of the movie when the witch Sarah chants it repeatedly in the background during the first 5 minutes of the film. It’s a special key ingredient for a potion the 3 sisters need to be young and beautiful again. Intrigued yet? Come take a closer look and grab yourself some freebies!

I doodled these teeny tiny Halloweeny designs, because every party is better with confetti! Am I right? For an easy upload to Cricut Design Space,  they’re all available as a .png. Just click on their file links below and they’re yours free, ready to cut!

Need some cupcake toppers to go with that super cute confetti?? The spiderwebs were drawn by myself but the “Hocus Pocus” toppers were added just for fun. I created it using the “Weld” tool on the Cricut Design Space program. It meshes the letters together and cuts the image as a solid piece. I’m still learning all of the different techniques that my Cricut Explore Air can do, it’s seriously an amazing machine! So ladies, Christmas is going to be here before we know it. Let your hubbies know you want a Cricut! The creations are endless. I can’t wait to cut my own bracelet with leather. Yup, it can do that! Okay so moving on…

Life Potion: “Bring to a full rolling bubble. Add two drops oil of boil. Mix blood of owl with the herb that’s red. Turn three times, pluck a hair from my head. Add a dash of pox and a dead man’s toe.”

I wanted to come up with some sort of pennant idea with the few materials I had on hand. This was the end result! I cut out some triangles and added “stitches” along the top of each pennant using my paint pen. Punch holes for the twine to string through and your banner is ready to hang! I’m totally a fan at how simple this was to make, I just love the way it turned out.

Each of these small details together really made a big impact, don’t you think?
